Step 2: Open the X-Grip® Arms & Insert Your Device

Hold the X-Grip® cradle and gently expand the arms to open the holder. The arms are spring-loaded and will contract toward their original position when released.

With the arms expanded, place your phone against the center of the cradle. Position the device so it sits evenly within the holder.

Using the Optional Safety Tether

For added security, especially in high-vibration or off-road environments, use the included rubber tether.

  • All four rubber caps are installed and secure
  • The device is firmly held and does not shift
  • The tether is properly attached if used

Recheck device security periodically, especially after adjusting the mount or traveling over rough terrain.

  • Most standard phone cases are compatible
  • Very thick or oversized cases may affect grip strength
  • The safety tether is strongly recommended for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and open vehicles
Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to use the adhesive on the rubber caps?
No. This is an optional but recommended step. The adhesive helps prevent the caps from coming loose during use and is recommended for long-term reliability.

Is the tether required?
The tether is optional but highly recommended for high-vibration environments or open-cockpit applications.

Can I rotate the phone once installed?
Rotation depends on the mount and arm used. The X-Grip® cradle itself holds the device securely while allowing adjustment through the mounting system.
